Ghost Ship Seaglass Jewelry Review {& Giveaway!}

I really like the story of how Ghost Ship got started.  As Ky tells it, "One day a colleague of mine showed me a sea glass bracelet she had made herself. I had never known about these frosty gems before, and instantly fell in love. I immediately raced to our local beach the next day and discovered a world of glass treasures…and from having grown up on the prairies, I was mesmerized by the fact that discarded trash could turn into something so beautiful. Within two months, GhostShip was born."

The jewelry at GhostShip is eco friendly and made mainly from vintage sea treasures mixed with pearls, semi-precious stones and recycled beads.  Ky's two favorite pieces are her Lobstertrap necklace and her Arrrr skull and crossbones necklace to suit the pirate in your life...perhaps the one who stole your heart?

Ky lives in Toronto, Canada and is a toy designer for her full-time gig. By night, she creates gorgeous pieces of jewelry for her shop and in her free time she loves to knit, make soap, sew, play the piano, cello and ice hockey! Ky takes her dog Bodhi, who is a certified therapy dog, and they work with people with mental disabilities. She sounds like an outstanding lady.

For this review, Ky sent me the "Spiraling Out Of Control" necklace.  It is simple and pretty...just my style.  It's also light.  I like wearing jewelry that you don't even realize you have on. The pendant is made of genuine vintage white sea glass with a spiral top that hangs from a delicate 18" silver-plated chain.  The filigree saftey closure ads a pretty delicate touch.
