Jewelry by Blue Shoe Studio Review {& Giveaway!}

Dani lives with her husband and their son, daughter, cat and dog in beautiful Southern Maine.  No doubt, she has many sources of nature's inspiration as she creates jewelry for her boutique, BlueShoeStudio. 

As a young girl, she was blessed with two very creative and talented grandmothers who also inspired her.  She's dabbled in knitting, ceramics, painting and fashion.  During her Junior-High days she landed on jewelry, crafting necklaces from old, broken necklaces.  Says Dani, "It might start somewhat the same for everyone.  Plastic and lucite beads, old broken necklaces of your Mom's or Gram's;  You read books at the library and you decipher how to fashion clasps and after much trial and error you discover the best way to make your creations strong and lasting. Your friends that went to summer school show you gimp, and you incorporate those loops with your Grandmothers' macrame knots and voila, friendship bracelets.”

In high school and college, she worked mostly with polished rounds, heishis, rondelles, jasper and hematite. But it was her discovery of silks and nylons, and clamshell and ladel findings, that brought her to freshwater pearls -- she needed something more elegant to work with.  What's more elegant than pearls?  She's been hand-knotting jewelry for 6 years.  Just look at some of her lovely pieces, like the Ganache Parfait Pearl Bracelet and the Classic Freashwater Pearl Necklace.
