Miriam is a stay at home mom of three girls. Before they came along, she loved her job as a lab researcher and after she had her girls she needed something productive to focus on at home (other than her babies!). She had started knitting at around 10 years of age, then forgot and relearned from a book. For her, knitting is both relaxing and fun while also being practical.

Says Miriam, "There is a sense of accomplishment when I have finished a new project. It is fun to see a finished product from a ball of yarn. I especially love to see the smiles on other people when they find something they love about one of my creations."

I can tell you first-hand that Miriam does great work. She sent Emma an adorable wool hat just like this one, but she customized the colors for us. The babe got a lot of attention when she was wearing it the other day at Costco. It is just the cutest warm hat, perfect for the cold weather that's on its way. I love that the flower is a clippie, so when she's not wearing the hat we can clip it onto her hair!
