**Contest Closed**Amy Peters is a mom-entrepreneur who creates handmade, inspirational word jewelry in her studio along California's coast. Her designs are whimsical and fresh, and I can't imagine a lady that wouldn't enjoy wearing her beautiful jewelry - no matter how young or old. She started Amy Peters' Studio 15 years ago and has received recognition in the fashion industry, with her work being featured on popular television shows and adorning many celebrities.
The majority of her designs are crafted out of sterling silver or vermeil, however she also offers a number of pewter designs to keep her prices low for those of us who are watching our pennies.
When asked to choose my favorite fortune cookie necklace, I couldn't decide between Expect 
Miracles or Life is a Journey. Both sayings mean a lot to me, but if you've been following my blog, you might know that I am a SAHM and my husband was recently laid off. We need a miracle right now, so 'Expect Miracles' was the obvious choice.

The 14k gold-plated cookie hangs on a matte sterling chain with a lobster clasp. The 'fortune' (i.e. inspirational message) itself is a permanent part of the necklace. It does not move, but the cookie can glide over it to hide the message inside. I didn't expect this, and it's a detail that I absolutely adore. The fortune cookie necklace comes beautifully packaged in an small teal take out box. Don't worry - it won't be mistaken for chinese food and it is perfect for gift-giving!
