Did you know that the official flower of Mother’s Day is the red carnation? Here is one for all of you mamas that read my blog. I hope you all enjoy this day with your families, and maybe even get pampered a little on your day!
I was always told that you wear the red carnation for a mother that is living and a white one for one that is passed on. I guess my boss knew this last year I worked and he was giving out carnations and asked white or red? I said white and he said I'm sorry, but you have a nice Mothers Day... a co-worker said why are you sorry she will be going out to eat after work..we had talked about it before he came up. I told her about the symbolism of the color of the carnation
