For those with allergies or sensitive skin, there’s all® Free Clear. Made without dyes or preservatives, it’s the most commonly recommended clothing detergent by dermatologists and allergists. Y’all know that I am suffering horribly this season, so I will try anything that may help relieve my symptoms.
One tip that I know of is that washing clothing and sheets regularly in hot water will help to kill bacteria and allergens. Also, take showers at nighttime to remove pollen, etc. from your body and hair so that you can avoid transferring onto your bed linens.
all® Free Clear is safe for baby’s sensitive skin, yet is also a strong concentrated detergent that works well at removing harsh stains. I love not having to do separate loads of laundry in our household, as it can take a little while to collect a full sized load from Emma’s itty bitty wardrobe. Washing all of our clothes together saves time and energy (meaning both labor and electricity!). We also received a copy of “How to Have Your Second Child First: 100 Things That Are Good to Know the First Time Around”. It’s a wonderful guidebook written by Kerry Colburn and Rob Sorensen with advice for new parents given by those with years of experience. I found the tips to helpful and the book to be quite entertaining. Even if you’re already a parent, it’s never too late to learn!

My best laundry tip (that works for me) is to wash and dry all the clothes before folding them and putting them away. Some people don't like to have clothes wrinkled, but I wash and dry all my clothes and pile them up, then I fold all of them at once and put them all away at the same time. With just me and my hubby (when he's not deployed) I only have to do laundry like once a week or once every other week.

ReplyDeleteMy best laundry tip is to do laundry eveery single day. If you let it pile up on you you'll have stains that won't come out & you'll be so drepressed because you can't catch up! Best parent tip: trust your kids to do the right thing once you've told them. barb g. I love free 'n clear it's what I use for my 2 loads of clothes everyday! This would be a good budget booster! directorylanesuperstoreATgmail.com

ReplyDeleteMy best laundry tip is to air dry clothes that could shrink if dried. When they're dry, I put them in the dryer with a wet towel to make "steam" and a dryer sheet to prevent static. I tumble them around for about 20 minutes, and take them out and get them on hangers right away. Now, I never have to iron anything unless it needs a crease. :-D

ReplyDeleteMy best laundry tip is to use white vinegar instead of fabric softener in the rinse cycle. It gets out the smells from smoking to cat "accidents" on clothes. I use 1/2 to 1 cup, for really heavily smelly clothes I use the 1 cup.

If you have a very stubborn stain spray the stain with Spray n Wash with Resolve. Then rub it in really good. Then make a paste of oxi-clean and rub that in. Leave the mixture on the garment over night. The next day wash as you normally would. The stain should be out. If it's not repeat the process.

Avoid wrinkles by having a spray bottle of water with just a little bit of vinegar. Spray your clothing and tug gently from beneath. Voila - wrinkles fall away (most of the time).
