My hat’s off to all of the cloth-diapering mamas out there. I gave it a try and found that it was not for me. If you’re a million times more dedicated to your cloth-diapering regimen, you will love the Swimsuit Diaper by Kushies. And if you’re not, this swim diaper can be used as a bikini bottom over your child’s disposable diaper. That’s how I used it.
Featuring a quick-drying nylon outer shell and a 100% cotton-terry inner lining, this swim diaper was made for comfort and optimum protection against leaks. Many swim clubs require that children wear plastic bottoms over their diaper, and I saw this as a much more comfortable alternative. Kushies has a selection of bright unisex patterns as well as styles for girls, and patterns for boys. The sizes range from small to extra-large based on weight as per the sizing chart.
Small 6-14 lbs/3-6 kg
Medium 14-25 lbs/6-11 kg
Large 25-40 lbs/11-18 kg
X-Large 35-50 lbs/16-23 kg
Since Emma now weighs 26 pounds, I requested a size large for her. It barely fit her waistline, which surprised me because she is very thin and tall. We tried this out at our swim club and I paired it with a UV-protected top. I really liked the ease of getting this on and off. This swim diaper is fastened at the sides like a regular diaper, but using velcro. Far easier than having my daughter lean on me as she steps her legs through, and a thousand times faster.
The swimsuit diaper is eco-friendly and economical, with a price tag of only $10.99 a pair. Kushies has offered a ten percent discount for my readers by using the promotion code: pennypinch2010 at checkout.
No compensation was received for this post, but I did receive the product discussed free of charge in order to facilitate my review. All of the opinions above are 100% my own.
How cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI had thought about purchasing some swim diapers for our youngest. We are working on potty training, but it gets cold in the water and you just never know if he might go! I might have to look into these. They are too cute! :)
