If you’ve been following me around or if you’ve seen my tweets, you may already be aware that I am attending the BlogHer conference in just a few weeks. If you’ve been following since the beginning, you’ve probably read about our financial struggles over the past year. My husband was laid off about a week after we discovered that we were pregnant, and he still has yet to find a permanent position. It probably goes without saying, but it’s been a stressful two years. Blogging has helped me through in more ways than I could have ever imagined. It’s been my constant, one of few things in my life that I can depend on.
I’ve made so many wonderful friends that I have yet to meet in person. This is why it was important for me to make arrangements to attend BlogHer. The conference is in New York City this year. It's probably the closest it will ever be to my home in Southern New Jersey, and may be the only BlogHer that I will attend.
I am paying my own way and have not secured any sponsors for BlogHer. Even though money is tight, it was so important for me to still attend the conference. Thank goodness my husband understands, even if not fully, the impact that blogging has had on my life and how important it was for me to attend. But obtaining a sponsor would help me to feel a little less guilty about spending the money.
My daughter is the human version of the energizer bunny. She keeps going…and going… I think she has trained me well for this mission.

Does this bunny make my butt look fat?
Energizer is a great brand that I’d be proud to help promote. In fact, I own a super-cool vintage Energizer bunny and I’m even willing to bring him along with me to all of the sessions and parties that I attend if I secure this sponsorship. Baby-carrier style. Wouldn’t you want to see that?
P.S. Make sure you ‘Like’ Energizer on Facebook!
I was not compensated in any way for this post. I'm entering to win a great sponsorship for BlogHer courtesy of Energizer at Barefoot Mommies and An Island Life. The conference is only a few weeks away and I am so very excited.
