There is a movement geared toward finding greener ways to clean. People are going back to basics, and using traditional methods that our parents and grandparents used, before the chemical-laden products hit the store shelves. Scotch-Brite is happy to be on board with their Greener Clean products, and I had the opportunity to see them first hand when I visited their booth during the BlogHer conference.
The Scotch-Brite Greener Clean products are made with natural scrubbing fibers or recycled plastic materials, depending on the product. I had the opportunity to try the entire product lineup – all except for the soap-loaded scrubbers. I like cleaning with these earth-tone sponges and scrubbers so much better than the traditional fluorescent yellow and green versions.
When it comes it come to cleaning tips and tricks, I always love to find out what other moms are doing, so I really enjoyed all of the smart tips that these BlogHer ‘10 attendees shared.
One lucky reader will a collection of Scotch-Brite Greener Clean products to try!

My best green cleaning tip is in that video because I am the woman making that ridiculous face in the video. (Why, oh why, couldn't they pause it when I was smiling or doing something normal with my Chins???)
ReplyDeleteI use baking soda to clean lots of things including my stainless steel sinks and tubs.
ReplyDeleteThose pads would be a perfect match for my baking soda!

if you have a stain in your carpet, you'd be surprised how much of it you can get up with scrubbing and plain ole soap and water. You don't really need chemical carpet cleaners. I successfully got a cupful of cranberry juice out of my carpet with water, soap and gentle scrubbing!

vinegar is my number one cleaning product. In kitchen to scour pots and pans clean just add baking soda and watch the foaming action, this will also clean the pipes, a little BS in the drain and follow with vinegar and watch the pipe open up. Also I use it in the wash to remove odors and it will keep fuzzies from sticking to clothes...
