Kid Basix - Review

If you're a Penny-Pinching Mama like me, you're on the lookout for products that are versatile and thereby cost-effective. That doesn't mean you have to sacrifice safety and quality though. This is what I love about the Kid Basix product line.

Research by speech development experts has shown that a straw-shaped spout, like the one on The Safe Sippy, is better for little mouths than the standard wide spout sippys, which may cause speech development problems.

The Safe Sippy 2 is essentially the same product as The Safe Sippy, but with a few cool added features that make this a much more versatile product:

  • Dust Cap - To protect the spout and keep it germ-free when it's not in use. Or in my case, when my daughter decides to hurl it across the room or onto the ground from her stroller. Just because she feels like it - or just likes to see me play fetch!
  • Travel Plug - To protect your diaper bag from "drinking" the contents of the sippy when you're lugging all of baby's essentials.
  • Straw and Straw Adaptor - When your child outgrows the sippy the Safe Sippy converts to a straw bottle!

Yet another fantastic feature: When your child outgrows the handles, you can remove them and let baby (err...toddler) grip the bottle by the tapered waist. The thermo-plastic rubber sleeve not only provides insulation, it also helps as a gripper for little hands.

This product truly does grow with your child, making it money well spent.

What about Mom and Dad? Kid Basix has you covered there, too. The Safe Sporter water bottle comes in two sizes (12 oz. and 16 oz.), and is made of the same great materials as the Safe Sippy products. It also features a plastic coaster built-in to the bottom of the bottle, which is my favorite detail. This is the perfect water bottle for the gym or wherever, and it's stylish to boot.

As for safety, all of the plastics in their products are free of BPA and phthalates. The stainless-steel body is non-leaching and toxin free, which ensures safe drinking. Cleanup is a breeze-just let your dishwasher do all of the hard work.

Want one of these cool Kid Basix products? You know what to do. BUY IT! These fine products are sold nationwide and at retailers like Babies R Us.

No compensation was received for this review. The sponsor sent me the product sample, and I offered my honest opinion.

  1. Look at your little doll with hers! I love the idea of being able to remove the handles down the road!
