Crazy About Cupcakes - Review

Cupcakes have the ability to make everyone smile.  Whether age two or ninety-two, there's just something so fun about the mini cakes.  Recently, we threw Emma her very first birthday party.  The celebration was cupcake-themed and I needed some ideas, so I took to the internet for my research.  I was so enthralled with a website I found by Krystina Castella, the author of Crazy About Cupcakes, a baking guide that includes everything you might possibly want to know pertaining to cupcakes.

The book is filled with over 300 cupcake recipes, from basic to advanced, along with design templates, illustrations and beautiful photographs.   Ms. Castella writes about different baking and decorating techniques as well as helpful tips on storage and substitutions.  Crazy About Cupcakes even has a section dedicated to low fat, healthy recipes infused with vegetables!

I'm amazed at some of the 3-dimensional designs and cannot wait to get baking and creating.  The fancy treats are easier to asemble than you might think, and your friends will be wowed because you made them yourself with the help of this cookbook.

BUY IT!  Crazy About Cupcakes is available at Barnes and Noble at the amazingly low price of $12.92.  It's a very reasonable price for a 256-page book, and what I love about the Barnes and Noble is that you can page through to see what this book is like without leaving the comfort of your home.



I think this would make an amazing Valentine's Day Gift for the cupcake lover/baker in your life.  Perhaps with a batch of Stacked Hearts cupcakes?
