The other day I read a wonderful post that brought tears to my eyes. Tammi of My Organized Chaos writes about one of our fellow bloggers whose family is fighting two battles with Cancer. Dad has Hodgkin's Lymphoma and 6-year-old Kayla is struggling with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
Tammi writes how Kayla included Heparin and spinal taps in her list of dislikes. Can you imagine?? How often do we complain about the rough day we had cleaning the house, paying our bills, and caring for our healthy children? I feel ashamed for complaining about my problems after reading Tammi's post.
Kayla recently had a setback and was forced to return to the hospital just an hour after she was released.
Cards for Kayla
As most kids do, she loves receiving mail. Today I mailed her a card and a few fun stickers. It's a small gesture, but it will give this beautiful young lady a brighter day. I hope you participate, too.
