Xtrema Ceramic Cookware - Review + Giveaway

At first glance, and by first glance I mean via web browser, Xtrema cookware looked pretty standard.  I could tell by the images on the website that their products have a sharp-looking high gloss finish, in a sleek black color.

When I removed the 10" skillet from the box, I couldn't help but notice the substantial weightiness of this product.  It's as heavy as a cast iron skillet, and Xtrema cookware works much like an iron pan but without the trace metals.  The cookware is made of glazed ceramic, and is designed to withstand high temperatures (2,700 F) and hold in heat.  This allows for faster and more economical cooking. 

To give you an even better idea, this skillet is exactly like the insert for my crock-pot.  The surface cannot be scratched like other nonstick pots and pans.  You can even use metal utensils and steel wool without scratching the surface.  I have had to toss other non-stick pans after the finish chipped over time, so it's nice to find a product that will not chip.  I've used the Xtrema skillet a few times, and it did indeed cook more evenly and in a shorter amount of time than I'm used to with my other skillets. 

Xtrema cookware is quite versatile too.  It can be used on the stovetop, grill, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and even the freezer! I don't think I own another product that can do all that.

BUY IT!  Xtrema is a little more pricey than other products you might find, but in the long run the products will save you money.
