It has long been suspected that classical music has the power to expand and relax our minds. I know when I'm feeling anxious, it helps me to calm down and just focus on the beauty. Why not share that experience with your children? Flute Sweet & Tickletoon also referred to as Barbara Siesel and Keith Torgan, are the artists behind the new album, Green Golly & Her Golden Flute.
It tells the story of Green Golly, a young lady who, unlike Rapunzel, takes her experience in stride. The evil witch traps Green Golly in a tower after her parents traded her for a salad. Instead of weeping and crying, Green Golly makes the best of it, playing her flute and writing poetry. It's a new, funny take on the classic tale and it will have you and your kids laughing while enjoying the magical sound of the flute, piano and other classic instruments along the way.
After the story is told, you can enjoy uninterrupted classical music. I listened to this in the car today and found myself humming along to the tunes I recognized (though I couldn't name any of the composers, I recalled their beautiful music).
The CD sells for $14.99, or an MP3 version can be purchased for $9.99. Click here to preview and purchase.
