Go jane Clothing Review

After our babies are born, many of us moms (myself included) tend to stop spending on ourselves.  When I say I'm going clothing shopping--unless it's for a special occasion, I'm shopping for Emma.  Especially in this economy; all of us are feeling the pinch in one way or another.

Us moms work hard.  We deserve to do a little shopping for ourselves for Pete's sake!  But who can afford to?  Well, it all depends on where you're going shopping.  In comes Go jane.  At Go jane, you don't have to 'go' anywhere.  If you've got an internet connection, you're there.  That's a good start, right?

Go jane is an online retailer featuring stylish clothing at very affordable prices, or as we're calling it these days: Recession prices, with a capital 'R'.  They have everything from boots to jeans and tops, to formal dresses and fun accessories at great prices.  Tees are on sale right now for $4.00, and beaded dresses are $9.00 (I would use this as a top with jeans).

My style of dress leans toward classic pieces.  I tend to shy away from some of the more trendy clothes.  For one, I don't have the figure to pull off some of the styles.  Many of the items at Go jane fall on the trendy side, but there are also a lot of simple, classic pieces as well.

The people at Go jane sent me their Shirred Blazer.  It looks like they have sold out of this item, so I'll show you a similar piece, the Plaid Trim Denim Finish Blazer.  It arrived very quickly.  I was not crazy about the way it was packaged.  It was folded up rather tightly in the bag it was shipped in, and when I opened the package the blazer was wrinkled.  Thankfully, I hung the jacket for a few days and the wrinkles did fall out.

I ordered a size large, and it's a bit too tight to leave it buttoned.  No fear, I have started WW again and if all goes well I will be able to button this baby up very soon!  The jacket itself is very comfortable, and I love love the 3/4 length shirred sleeves.  I tend to roll up my sleeves, with this jacket I don't have to.  It's simply no fuss, just what I needed.  Jackets are so versatile and very forgiving.  You can dress them up with slacks or a skirt for work and dress them down with jeans on your day off.

This is me wearing the blazer, just before leaving for church this morning.  I'm also wearing the cultured pearl bracelet that I received from Blue Shoe Studio.  Incidentally, I'm hosting a giveaway for one of her beautiful bracelets, which you can enter here.

Overall, I'm very happy with the blazer I received.  I feel sophisticated wearing it, yet still casual and comfortable.  A big thank you to Go jane for sending me this jacket!

If you'd like to shop with Go jane and you spend over $50, you can score Free Shipping!  Use code GJSHIP50 at checkout.  Happy shopping!
